Men's Size & Fit Chart
At Boden we like to have fun with clothes but when it comes to fit, we take things very seriously. To help you find the perfect-fitting shirts and trousers, we’ve put together an easy-to-use sizing guide below. If you have any other queries about our sizing, feel free to drop our Customer Service Department an email on firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re always here to help.
How to measure
1. Collar: Measure around the middle of your neck (use your Adam’s apple as a guide for where this is), keeping the tape a bit loose.
2. Chest: Measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest. It’s not as tricky as it sounds.
3. Sleeve length: Measure straight from your shoulder, down to where your cuff would be.
4. Waist: Measure around your waist where your trouser sits, keeping one finger between the tape and your body to ensure an accurate fit. Think of the tape as a belt for these purposes.
5. Inside Leg: Measure from the lowest part of the crotch to bottom of the hem

The Boden Shirt Guide
We don’t do things by halves at Boden, so all our shirts are built to last, with soft, comfortable collars, secured buttons and strong, twin-needle lapped seams.
Find your fit
Read our guide below to find the shirt that best suits you.
Regular fit: We’ve tweaked this fit with comfort in mind, so you’ve got more fabric where it matters, without losing that tailored waist we know you love.
Slim fit: Tailored through the waist and slim through the chest and sleeves, this is your ultimate fitted shirt that still leaves you room to move.
Learn the finishes
Garment washed: We wash the finished shirts until they’re supersoft, meaning you get that broken-in comfort with none of the effort.
Garment dyed: Rather than using coloured fabric, we only dye the shirt after it’s been made. This makes each one unique, with subtle colour variation that gives a relaxed, vintage feel – so it’s bespoke and looks like your old favourite from day one
Know your collars
Button down: A casual style with small, neat collar buttons.
Cutaway: A traditional style, with a wider space between the collar points.
The Boden Trouser Guide
Formal or casual, slim or regular, when it comes to trousers, finding the right fit isn’t as easy as it should be, especially if you can’t try them on. To help you on your way, we’ve highlighted the main features of our most popular styles.
The guide below will help you to choose your fit.
Regular Trousers (Chino and Jeans)
There’s a reason regular fit trousers are always on-trend: versatility. They sit on the natural waistline and a curved waistband allows for flexible movement – perfect for everyday wear. These trousers are cut to be mid-rise, relaxed through the hips and straight down through the thigh and leg. A wider hem opening of 17.5 inches (43cm) at the bottom also means they can be worn with pretty much any type of footwear.
Slim Trouser (Chino and Jeans)
Slim fit trousers offer a contemporary shape, with a closer fit through the thigh, knee and leg. As you’d expect, they have a lower rise, designed to sit below your waistline, but the waistband itself is curved for greater movement and they won’t hold you back from doing anything. These trousers finish with a tapered leg opening of 14.5 inches (37cm), ideal if you want to show off some statement footwear.
For those occasions that require something a little smarter, our formal trousers will ensure you look the part. They are cut to sit on the natural waistline and are slim through the seat and thigh. The rise is longer and the shape tapers through the thigh and leg for a flattering fit. There’s a narrow leg opening of 15 inches (39cm), which suits a formal shoe.
The Boden Jacket Guide
On all our casual and semi formal jackets we now offer two lengths – regular or long (size 38” jackets are one length only). If you are 6ft or taller, you will probably need our long (L) length. Also, the measurements on some clothes of the same size may vary depending on the style, but they will still fit the size shown.
